The schools and hospital in east meadow are on lockdown b/c one of the men got away after robbing a bank in bellmore. I heard there was money all over the street when they caught the first guy! The poor kids who were supposed to take the earth science regents this afternoon will now have to wait until August to take it!

I used to love being a student at emhs ...we had lock downs a few times....being so close to the jail i.

oh that stinks that they have to wait until August for their regents - isnt that a determining factor if they get to get into the next grade?

my mom is an RN at the Nassau University Medical Center..The bank robbers ran in there and the hospital was on lockdown all morning...they finally found the 2nd guy about an hour ago....it was scary that they were actually in part of the hospital for sooo long

the robbers werent in the school...they were in the hospital all morning & part of the afternoon

They still locked down the schools just in case... my mom works at Clarke in EM and she was locked down!
