It will not be good for you once you get married if he files bankruptcy. The laws have changed and the only way that he can file bankruptcy is if he passes the means test. From what I remember it is really hard to qualify you have to make such a small amount of money . I do not remember exactly. There are web sites about bankruptcy that you can get the information from.
