baptism jewelery engraving

My dh was asked to be godparent for our good friends baby. The baby is a boy and he arriving lany time now. The christening is coming soon and the godmother bought the cross. You wonderful ladies gave me a few good jewelery ideas, but my question is--- if I am engraving something on the jewely ex. on your christening, do I just put my husbands name or do I include my name as well?

I've gotten a few different answers. One person says engrave both names, yet another person says, only engrave the godfathers name and just add your name to the card. HELP!!!!!!!!

I would do just the godfather's name and put both your names in the card, because its a gift from the both of you.

ETA - Sorry actually now that I think about it, I think it depends on what the gift is going to be... Like if you get a name plate bracelet, I dont see why you couldnt put 'Love Aunt.... and Uncle....' Do you know what you are getting yet?

I was actually thinking of a name plate bracelet and probably a bond to go with it.

OR
Maybe the nameplate bracelet along with a ring or something. I am actually at a loss, boys are much more difficult to buy for. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!~

I would engrave only the Godfathers name but put both names on the card.

I also would only put the godfather's name on the jewelry.
