Barbados

anyone been to Barbados in September? I here it doesn't really get effected by the hurricane.it rains a bit but overall it's pretty hot and humid..just wanted to hear any of your opinions..

Nver been in September but have been in January and it's a gorgeous island with really wonderful people. They are not generally affected by hurricanes so you should be fine. I'm sure the weather in September will be great. Try tripadvisor.com and check out the Barbados message boards for more info.

I have never been there in Sept but I went last February and it was beautiful!! The tour guide I had for one excursion was the sweetest woman I've ever met while on vacation!! Be prepared to to guzzle a lot of rum punch-when in Barbados do as the Barbadians (I made that word up!)

I'm from Barbados, and you didn't make that word up we actually call ourselves Bajans or Barbadians.
CJ--- the weather would be fine in September we don't get affected by Hurricanes. Should be nice and Sunny so bring the suntan lotion.

I work in the travel industry and Barbados usually rolls out a promotion called Best of BArbados for the fall. This includes a $300 air credit per person and usually one night free on a seven night stay. Ask your travel agent about it. I was at a Barbados tourism dinner last night and they confirmed they are definetely doing it for fall travel - it is throurgh tour operators so go see a travel agent for more info!
Air Jamaica has daily nonstop flights there from JFK!
