My cousin is getting married in Sept. at Tallgrass. It is going to be a BBQ style wedding (BBQ food buffet) but not checkered table-cloth type of BBQ wedding - more of a fancy type (everything else will be traditional). Any thoughts on favor ideas? Centerpieces? Thanks!

Re: Barbeque Wedding
Id like sunflowers, daisies or just mixes of flowers, like they were picked in a field.

Re: Barbeque Wedding
You can do like an old fashioned tin pail full of flowers, and lots of candles.

Re: Barbeque Wedding
man there was magazine that came out a few months ago that had a backyard bbq style wedding but REALLY classy. Trust remember it. They had vivid green table clothes with a lace overlay (printed lace overlay), then flower pieces were branches made to look like trees growing out of the table or they had some tables with what was said above a decorative tin with some wild flowers. TONS of tea lights and the chairs were wooden with some really pretty tulle bows tied around them. They had lanterns hanging from stringed lights that were rigged up.

O I would love to do a bbq wedding... my family is a bunch of picky eaters (myself included) but we're all over bbq food. I think the suggestion about bbq sauces or something as a favor would be cute..u can make ur own labels n what not.

Thanks! I highly respect and applaud your recognition of art of the northern renaissance! :) It is one of my favorites and in fact, yesterday I bought a mirror that was curved like the one in the background b/c it reminded me of the painting!
Basically, my whole wedding revolved around art. Our CD favor labels, programs and table cards all featured some art from generally the same time period. I tried to use different pieces that fit either a wedding/couple theme or for the table numbers, I did pieces that were related to that table's city. Here are some pics that explain it better!
THAT IS JUST STUNNING!!!! WOW.... i love it. If FH was a art buff like me I would of done all Art Nouveau or my second favorite period Dutch Masters of the 17th century. I live everyday portraiture and landscapes. I am also big into the organic curvature of Art Nouveau. I will incorporate soft flowing lines into the wedding some how w/out having fh object.
I can not wait to read about your wedding going to see what you have posted on it.
