I have all my old stuff and I'm nervous to get rid of it when I move from my home...
How did everyone deal with this?

Re: Barbie & The Rockers
HA! I used to have those. . . I'm not actually sure where they are now. Either in Mom's attic, or given away. No ne goes up in the attic ever, or I would probabaly have gotten rif of my old stuff.
I'm not one for holding onto stuff.
Have you ever seen Clean Sweep on TLC? It has inspired FH to get rid of a lot of his stuff.
So why do you want to save it? What are going to do with?
It may be easier after you move, if you family makes you take all of your stuff & you see how it doesn't fit in yourt new place, your priorities will change.

Re: Barbie & The Rockers
I've taken a little at a time, and then when I've been home. I've realized I haven't need things in a really long time & then gotten rid of them.
The cassettes maybe can be donated to the library maybe. And the toys can go to a pediatrician's waiting room. Or a garage sale!!!

I dumped anything I hadn't used in the last 2-3 years (including mty NKOTB tapes) when I moved out on my own. Try selling it on Ebay....ya never know what will sell

I would have a hard time getting rid of them! I am way too sentimental. I probably still have my tapes up in my parents attic!

I am a total pack rat. I just can't get rid of my CD's and cassettes. I leave them in my mom's house. I inherited my pack ratness from her.
ETA: E-bay is a great option!

FH HATES it! He throws away everything! Every few months he goes through his closet and donates clothes or sells stuff on e-bay.

Re: Barbie & The Rockers
My parents just sold their house, and so I had to get all my stuff out of the house (toss or keep) due to their upcoming move.
It stunk. I threw a LOT out.
But Thank You Kelly - I now have the Barbie & the Rockers theme song stuck in my head.
'With Derek, Diva, DeeDee, Dana too....'

I didn't even know that.
What about Get In Shape Girl?
And for some reason I have the tropical Barbie jingle in my head...
'...With beautiful braids...and Tropical Barbie days...We girls can do anything, like Barbie...'
