Barcelona

is 9 days too long to stay in one city? we're working on an itinerary and want to take some day trips outside of the city, as well as have some downtime to just veg out on the beach, but wasn't sure if 9 days in one place is too much?

Personally, I would do 7 nights, but everyone is different. If there is enough to keep you busy for 9, go for it!

I was there for 2 days on a cruise and it was not enough for me. it is beautiful and tons of shopping and sight seeing. we also went to menorca 1 of the islands off of spain, I highly rec to do that and go kayaking, unbelievably beautiful. If you like shopping bring lots of $$$$$$$$. I went a little crazy there myself, there are blocks and blocks and blocks of stores and all like chanel, LV, Burberry, tons I remember these b/c I spent way too much $$$$$$ and time in them, but it is just non stop shopping, there is everystore you can think of there, high end that we have here too. Must see Gaudis work! ah you will love it, maybe 9 days is too much, I think 5 nights would be enough.

I agreee with girlygrl33. I was there for a cruise and we even spent an extra day there. It definitely was not long enough. Barcelona is so beautiful and there is still so much for us to see that we can't wait until we can go back again!
