I just ordered them the other night. I've heard raves about them and I am curious if any of you guys have ordered it.
Also, I hope this isnt a gimmick and the makeup is like the makeup I can get at Rite Aide.
Has anyone used this brand? I have a 60 day trial and if Im not happy they will refund me.

Re: Bare Minerals Makeup
I have it. I got it at Sephora. I've been using it for a year now and I really like it. It makes my face look flawless. It's very light, so you don't feel like you have caked on makeup.

Re: Bare Minerals Makeup
I used everyday minerals (which is basically the same thing) and it's very good. I never feel like I have makeup on and it takes 1 minute to apply.

Re: Bare Minerals Makeup
I used Bare Minerals for a loonnnnnngggggggg time (no more for various reasons). I am a self-confessed beauty product junkie so anything new I see I MUST try :)
I will give you my honest opinions about the line, and how it worked for me....
Pros: -mineral makeup, therefore only has like 5 ingredients. -it's gentle -one jar of foundation lasts a long time -has SPF 15 I think -it covers smoothly, and evenly once you get the hang of it -it doesn't clog your pores -it lasts a long time on the face, but is easily removed with cleanser -doesn't irritate sensitive skin (mine is incredibly sensitive
Cons (JMHO): -it's incredibly messy; it will get all over the bathroom sink and up your nostrils LOL (IMPOSSIBLE to apply on the go) -the coverage is medium-sheer I'd say; I prefer foundation with a little more coverage -slightly drying -- might require extra moisturizer -it has a lot of mica in it, so it gives a shiny appearance, which I got tired of after a while -some people love Mineral Veil, but I found it to be too chalky
HTH! You will enjoy, play around with it! Sorry for such the long response LOL

The shiny appearance is why I switched to everyday minerals. You can only buy them online at everydayminerals.com but you can order free small trial sizes and only pay the $3 shipping. I found my perfect shade which is not shiny or glossy.
To avoid mess, I just use half of the holes. I tape closed the other half so not very much falls out when you turn it upside down.

Yeah, I used to poke small holes in the sticker instead of peeling it back. I just found that most of my mess came from the 'Swirl Tap and Buffing'.
Pur Minerals is a good line that is pressed foundation that I tried last year. It has shea butter in it so it wasn't as drying for me.
Another PHENOMENAL mineral makeup line is Jane Iredale. She has the powder foundation like Bare Escentuals but my absolute favorite is her liquid foundation (it comes in a pump with the makeup in these floating 'beads' -- it's GREAT!) It's a steep price, like $55 a bottle or something but it's wonderful stuff. Good sheer coverage.

Re: Bare Minerals Makeup
I have been using bare minerals on and off for years (like since it first came out) and I keep going back to it. I just really like it!
As for applying on the go, they sell as part of some kits on QVC travel compacts. If you buy from a bare minerals store (they have one at roosevelt field) maybe thy have the travle compacts there too.

Me too! I still use it and love it, but these pros/cons are very accurate. I feel like I always photograph the best when I'm wearing Bare minerals!

Re: Bare Minerals Makeup
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it, literally the best makeup I have ever worn, it is so light and provides great coverage. The commercials are true, I have slept in it ( after a drunken night out when i was too lazy to wash my face) and did not break out.
it is super light and natural and I hope ya love it!!!!!!!
Edited to agree with the cons above :
You will NOT be able to apply on the go, it will get all over the place

Re: Bare Minerals Makeup
One of the girls I work with uses it but she said it was expensive but she is sooo cheap so I dont know if she was telling me the truth, however she still uses it so I guess it has to be good being that it is 'expensive' for her, she still continues to buy it! But I never used it myself just wanted to say hello back at you from my post!!

I use it and love it!!!!! All my friends who use it love it and we all find that it even helps subside breakouts on those special days of the month. I agree completely with all the pros and cons. The biggest con is of course it being so damn messy I can't get over it the have to find a way to improve this one flaw

Well to be honest, I was expecting it to be like 200 bucks. Its VALUED at 200-300 (so they say) and you pay 70 for 2 months worth. It didnt burn a hole in my pocket too much lol

Re: Bare Minerals Makeup
I like it a lot, but for my skin, it's not enough. I need to use it in conjunction with both a concealer stick and a liquid foundation. Yes, I trowel my makeup on every morning.
But it gives a nice airbrushing effect on top of all the other garbage, so you can barely tell I have awful acne.
