Bari Jay Dresses

So i really love some of the dresses by bari jay... anyone know what the price ranges are for them???
part 2 of my question:
I know RK bridal probably has some good deals.. but is it worth is to get the alterations done through them if we get them there, or should i find another seamstress.. and can anyone suggest one? thanks!

Can't tell you price ranges, but I am pretty schooled at getting BM dresses at RK Bridal (I've bought 4 there).

They have 2 prices there for BM dresses, full and no frills. Full is more expensive, usually the standard retail price. They measure you there and order it for you. Then when it comes it you have to get the alterations there. I've heard some girls say they've had issues there w/alterations but I've always been very happy with them. Then again, i'm super anal w/the seamstresses going over my dress and making sure I like how they're pinning and adjusting me, etc. But, if ALL of your girls want to get their dress there, you can order them no frills, which is significantly cheaper. Your girls don't even need to ever step foot in RK. They measure themselves and write down all their sizes (according to the manufacturer chart which RK has in store and usually on the website). They all get ordered together....works best if one girl puts the entire amount of all the dresses on one card and everyone gives her money. They dresses get ordered and when they come in they will be sent directly wherever you want them. They will even be sent individually to each girls address if you want. I've done it both ways and haven't had a problem. Hope that helps!

Just a tip, I've heard , that some of the seamstresses there will do alterations on the side but I've never actually asked. You could give it a shot....

i was just there yesterday with the same concerns...my girls are going to buy their dresses from RK bridal because the price difference from other salons is like $50-80 less!! but they will get fitted somewhere else, only reason being that it will be more of a hassle for each BM to travel to the city with our different schedules. so im using the no frills package...and if i hear of a good seamstress ill let u know!!!

thanks!!! We live near the city so it wouldn't be too hard. But i had heard a lot of complaints from girls who got the alterations done at RK. But i guess you always take a chance no matter where you go!

where is RK Bridal located in NYC?

Can they order you any dress even if they don't have it in the store?

Yes, it' s on 39th btwn 8th & 9th. I don't know about ordering dresses they don't have, but I don't think so. But really, they have like, a million dresses. Go on their website to see what designers they carry. Of their BM designers, they usually carry every dress from that line.
