i went to barron's today and i ordered my veil. yana was very nice and helpful. the veil was very affordable and i also bought a hair comb that was beautiful and inexpensive too. it was great.
fyi, if you are going to go there the booth is A-4. it took me a few mins. to find it.

I must say, I went to Barrons myself and while they were nice, they werent that cheap. I have found cheaper tiaras/viels online and in the wholesale district in manhattan ... if you dont mind walking around a little bit to save money I would look at some other places ... JMO

i'm not too sure about the price of rest of the veils, because i knew what kind i was looking for when i went and only asked about that one. i bought a raw edge 1 tier cathedral length without any embellishments on a 3 inch plastic comb. it was $60. it is 72 inches wide and 108 inches long (3 yards).

i'm not sure how far in advance you need it. i think it is mostly a preference of when you want to have it. i think you would want to have it for your hair trials. also, it depends on how busy she is. yana said she is booked into september, so i asked to pick-up mine on october 4th. she said that if she is really busy and a bride needs it in a short time she can try to fit you in and rush it, but i have plenty of time.

the lady that works there, yana, makes them custom. she said she is booked well into september, but she told me that she can try to fit you in if you don't have that much time before your wedding/when you need the veil. she seemed pretty flexible and willing to accommodate. i'm picking up mine on october 4th.

i didn't even think of checking there. too late now for me. i did look online at a few places and their prices were $60 for the veil i wanted too, so i figured it was better to get one in person. the bridal salon where i bought my gown wanted $150, so i thought $60 was a good deal. haha.

Re: barron's in tri-county
I couldn't believe some of the prices! I tried on a veil that ended up being $175 - I was like 'are you crazy having me try this on?!?' Maybe some people can afford that, but for a piece of tulle and some beads, I can't ALLOW myself to!
ETA: The veil I tried on was NOT from Barron's - Just realized that it might have sounded like I was saying it was!
