Batchelorette party on Saturday!!!! UPDATED with Question on Bottom

I can not believe my batchelorette party is tomorrow! Where did time go?

I am ready to party all night long!!!

My maid of honor told me it is in August and that I must keep all Fridays in August open.

I need your help!
FH's grandfather died.. and non of his sisters can make it now.
Is the right thing to do cancel the batchelorette party?

I really wanted to have one

Thus no one from his family is coming. And, if not now.. than its cancelled since the wedding is in 2 weeks.

So sorry to hear about your FH's grandfather I think I would probably postpone it if that's possible, I wouldn't cancel it all together...

OH no....I am very sorry. If it was me, I'd probably cancel it and do it another time because I would really wanna have fun and I would know that some people wouldn't due to the situation.

OH I am so sorry- that is so sad right before the wedding and it puts such a damper on your bachelorette party- I don't see why you couldn't still have a night out with your friends the following weekend.

I'm soooo sorry to hear that!! life definately has a way of throwing curve balls at us

its definately a tough decision, and i think that no matter what you decide, you're not going to be 100% content w/ the decision b/c both options mean having to give something up. Honestly, though, i think that IF your reason for Not having it is JUST because you feel like it might be inappropriate to do, then i think you kind of have to overloook that- things happen, and even though we feel sad, we can't hold ourselves back or feel guilty for going out to celebrate the Positive thing that you have going on in your life right now. BUT if your FH needs you by his side, and going out would mean you not being there for Him... then i would say to put it off. His feelings are what matter right now, and you guys should talk about it and figure out what would be best as a couple. maybe you could just go out for a few drinks with the girls?

i would respect this time of mourning and wait until after the wedding- i know its supposed to be your last single night but considering circumsatnces, i wouldnt.

Plus, after you got the ball and chain of a husband ;) maybe it would be fun you get out and partay a bit
