bathroom baskets

bathroom baskets

Am I the only one who thinks it's an expense (more time than money) that is not really necessary?

Maybe it's my pragmatism coming out again..... At best, I see someone maybe popping an alka seltzer or using a bit of hairspray.... the rest seems to be just opulence /overdoing it to me

I intend to have a flowers in the room, and a nice soap, and that's it!

I think its a nice touch like so many of the DIY things are, but its not *necessary*. I won't be doing it simply because I don't think it will be used much.

No, totally not necessary. I do think it's a nice touch, but not at all necessary.

Like most DIY not necessary, but a nice touch.

Agreed. I went to a wedding where one of the straps on my dress broke, this was at the very beginnning of the reception. Thank God the bride had bathroom baskets with a little sewing kit to save me!!

not necessary, however I am thankful when I go to a wedding and there is something I need that I forgot, or couldn't fit in my tiny evening purse...It doesn't have to be huge, but the basic things are always nice

I dunno.... my DIY's, for the most part, are necessary.... programs. place cards.... I will admit the ring bearer pillow is superfluous....

I still need convincing on the basket.... It just seems like 95% of the stuff won't be used... I can see some hairspray, and something for a headache.... but really, that's it.

Is it really an item that is nowadays expected in the bathroom?

I agree. We aren't doing a bathroom basket either. I am however, packing a lot of the stuff that would go in one into my tote. Like hairspray, mini sewing kit, bandaids, shout wipes, etc. If someone needs anything I will have it there but we aren't putting together a whole elaborate basket for the bathroom.

I dont think you are expected to have them. Its just a nice added touch. Also, I know my hall provides the baskets with everyting in them. Otherwise I dunno that I ever would have thought to do this!

I think it is a really nice touch. I always find myself in need of something from those baskets so I definitely appreciate them!

You probably will eventually use the stuff yourself if it doesn't get used at the wedding so it won't be a total waste if guests don't use it.

Re: bathroom baskets

I guess this is really the issue... nope, we won't use it! So there's no rationalization for buying that...

I seldom use hairspray, I never sew, I don't take over the counter meds.... the only thing we would use are bandaids (cooking accidents )

I dunno... I'll debate it....

I like the idea and will be making one.

I am definitely having one. If I buy the things, and the basket, the florist will fix it up to look nice. In an emergency, the one or two guests that need it will be glad to have it.
The things won't go to waste since I can always use them anyway. Harmon drugs has plenty of travel size items.

I think I will do one, but I'll probably just keep it fairly small.

If you don't go overboard they can be pretty cheap, if you get stuff fromt he 99 cents store.

nail file,
tylenol mini pack
gum
tampons
clear nail polish

I think you can get it done for 20 bucks if you
just don't go overboard.
