Bathroom woes!

Bathroom woes!

My brand spanking new tub doesn't fit! Matt had his friend measure the bathroom before we ordered everything. The friend told us to order a 6 foot tub which we did. The tub has a heated whirlpool feature so it is wider than normal. We thought that these tubs were all the same width so we went ahead. The freakin' monstrosity is 42 inches off the wall. My MIL's is only 31 inches off the wall. Now we had to pay a plumber $$$$$$ to move everything across the room in order to accommadate this thing. I also had to give up my vanity and get a pedestal sink.

We can't return anything because it was delivered over a month ago and sat in our spare room while we waited for contractors. We are going to use the vanity in the second floor bathroom once that gets renovated.

I am just soooo not happy

Oh, no!! I am having a morning like you!!

Our contractor ordered the wrong size window We've been waiting for weeks to have it installed...now it'll be put off for another week or two.

Thankfully, we can return it and reorder.

Chin up! The tub sounds magnificent. With a little rearranging, everything will be fine.

My SIL just installed a beautiful pedestal sink in one of her bathrooms. I love the look of it!

Do you just love home renovations????????

I KNOW this is not going to help, but think of the AWESOME baths you'll get to take once the aggravation is gone and that baby is installed.

Re: Bathroom woes!

Didn't your contractor order the supplies for you? He should have measured to make sure that everything fit. Glad you were able to resolve it though so you can use it!!

Believe me the end result of all the aggravation will be a beautiful bathroom!!!

As a home improvement pro (2 bathrooms, kitchen, attic room, patio all in the last 10 months) I can tell you that it is so worth it in the end!!!

Re: Bathroom woes!

Look at it this way....you get a nice new bathroom with a great tub! I am sure this is not a planned for expense though. Make sure you post photos for us to see.

And I love pedestal sinks- I know there is no storage but they look so pretty.

Re: Bathroom woes!

Thanks Ladies! You all made me feel better. Now we have decided to go with the radiant heat flooring so I'll let you know how it turns out.
