Bay Shore Bridal

I have recently posted a thread about a 200.00 hair pin item that was on my bill. This is the story.. When I originally found my dress at BAYSHORE BRIDAL I was excited... I all ready had a pic with me of how I wanted my hair I showed the woman who was helping me she took copies of the pic 'I can order you a few sets that are very similar to the ones in the pic' Blushing Bride ' sure go ahead' Sales woman ' you can pick the one you like once they are in. Blushing Bride 'OK' ring me up. So I put down 50% deposit. (including the 200.00 for hair pins. Now my dress came in !!!! They never called to let me know the hair pins were in for me to look at and choose the one I liked so... I got hair pins someplace else...

so my dress is in.. I called to see what is my next step....come in 1 month before the wedding for a fitting ok..
ME:ALso there is a 200.00 charge on my bill for hair pins I would like them removed.
Sales woman :I can not do that only the MANAGER can do that.
ME: Can I talk with her
Sales Woman: SHe is not in today. You can call back tomorrow.

OK SO now I think something is up.
I call....
MANAGER : Oh NO sorry we CAN NOT REMOVE the hair pins.. We placed a special order for them.
ME: (in my Head) WHAT !!!!!
Manager:Yes they have been in for a few months now

Hello they never called me to tell me they were in that is 1st
2nd I was never told they were placing a special order and I had TO buy them
I have not even looked at them

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MAD

I did not say anything because they have my dress. I don't want them to do anything to it

My sister (jeanla4c) got married this past summer and we ordered our bridesmaid dresses from Bay Shore Bridal and it was a nightmare! The wedding was July 9th and the dresses only came in like 2 weeks before. They had made my sister so upset that I had to go there and argue with the person. They said they would limit how much we would pay for alterations ($55) but I would not back down with them. They only agreed to the alteration cap after I kept on them- don't back down!!

I almost wrote this exact thing, thanks Trish! Most important to note is we ordered the dresses in NOVEMBER for JULY and they came in that late. Tricia rocked by the way since I don't live on LI!!! Thanks again!

Re: Bay Shore Bridal

I hate to contribute to the negative thread but my mom is have the worst experience at Bay Shore Bridal for her gown. They took measurements incorrectly and it's huge on her - which wouldn't be a problem if the gown wasn't all beaded. She's been to two fittings and the gown is still in bad shape.

Not to mention, they aren't giving her the bra she ordered and paid for and they tried to charge her an extra $200 for the dress when she went in for his first fitting (you have to pay half when you order, so she obviously knew that the dress was not $800 like they tried to tell her a couple of weeks ago).

I'm so sorry that so much negative is happening to so many of us past, and soon to be brides, but what Lori has stated above is so true. I hope everything works out for your guys that still have to deal w/ them. Good Luck

Oh no! I ordered my gown from there....I tried on the gown at another place so I knew my size, so hopefully the size won't be a problem, but since I heard these horror stories, I'm going to order my BM dresses some place else. Thanks for sharing!
