Bay Shore Bridal Suite Girls....

I have heard so many mixed reviews on girls getting alterations at the bridal suite. My dress is in .....and I need to begin my fittings, but I dont want them to butcher my dress.....WHAT IS YOUR EXPERIENCE? Please share.....I really don't know what to do!!!!!

I had a fitting for a bridesmaid dress....and I was shocked when she pulled out scissors and started cutting the dress....do all places do this??

I had my first dress fitting tonight, and there were no scissors anywhere!

All she did was take some pins to mark spots that needed work, and she wrote on a slip of paper the notes of what needed to be done and tacked it on where it belonged.

i was lucky and didnt need alterations. they just put the bustle came out very good.

I had a great alteration experience with them. Everything went well, and none of my girls had any issues. The only thing I freaked out about at first, was that because my dress was a halter style, I had ordered a strapless bra to go with it because I'm very chesty, but no matter what we seemed to try the bra kept showing because of the plunging neckline. But they were so helpful, and I wound up not wearing one at all and I was totally comfortable with that after they fixed the problem (and that is saying something because I'm a D cup!) They're all really wonderful and friendly =)

I had to go there for a BM dress fitting for a wedding I was in. It took FIVE fittings to get it SOMEWHAT close to what it should have been. In the end the top of the dress was stabbing me in the boob and higher on one side than the other. And just watch them with the hem. The made mine and one other girl in the BP WAY too short.

ETA: I will add that the bride's dress looked great and every place is going to have their good and bad reviews. I was just pi ssed beyond belief that I had to go there 5 times. I won't even have that many fittings for my own wedding gown.
