Does anyone know if they charge a fee to take pictures at: Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Oakdale? The limo co. said he thinks they just charge a per car fee (15. per car).
Also can you please post pics if you took pics there.

Someone posted recently that after I think April 2006 Permits will be required. I'll try and find the post for you...it was recent though.
There is currently a fee. I LOVE it there! I had my cousin take our STD magnet pics there and they came out fantastic.

I just got the letter from the Arboretum indicating that:
'Effective April 1, 2006 a new policy will be in effect. Photographers will be required to obtain a commercial photography permit and pay a fee. Weddings arriving at the park after April 1st without the proper permits will not be permitted to enter and therefore it is imperative that you follow through on these changes if you wish to have your pictures taken here.'

Yes Jen b/c we were going to goto CW POst, but it doesn't make sense as our church is on the South Shore in Lindenhurst as is our hall. Where were you guys going to go?
We just wanted different scenery than the water.

I posted the update on the permet req starting April 2006. The letter didn't say what the fee would be and I haven't gotten around to calling them. If anyone does...please post!

There is a very pretty park in Amityville in the neighborhood. It is just north of Montauk Hwy. (Make a right right before the Amity HS. I will try to drive by & find out and I believe it is free! Very close to CLM. I lived in Lindenhurst.

Yes I'm familiar w/ Argyle Park, however, our photog said it is filled with goose poop & on a summer day it is quite crowded & therefore, hard to take pics w/ so many people in the background.

well we are getting married on a friday and it will be like 530 when we get there. I am also going to look into bayard cutting arboretum too since it isnt too far from our church (lake ronkonkoma)
