Bayard Cutting Arboretum and Planting Fields Arboretum
Please post pictures if you had them taken at either location. Also - does anyone know if a permit is needed? I keep hearing different things.
Thanks!!

Re: Bayard Cutting Arboretum and Planting Fields Arboretum
I dont have pics, but was just in a bridal party 2 weeks ago and we took pictures there.
You do have to pay a fee and you also pay for parking the day of.
It was beautiful but pretty hectic-- there were tons of people there and TONS of bridal parties there with no organization! I would definately go before and choose where you'd like to take photos or you'll end up wandering aimlessly looking for empty spots like we did!!
When my SIL's pics are up I'll post them- it was really beautiful!

I don't have any photos but have been to both places and have this to say: Cutting Arboretum is mostly trees, grass, bushes, and some water. Planting fields has the amazing architecture of the houses (cottages and mansion), the portico of the mansion, beautiful flower beds, and fountains, etc. I think Planting Fields has so much more to offer you to work with. I was dying to go there myself, but it's out of our way so we'll be going to Vanderbilt Estates instead. You do need a permit for Planting Fields, it's on their website.

Re: Bayard Cutting Arboretum and Planting Fields Arboretum
I'm not sure what it's like any other time of the year- but in April it was amazing! The wedding flowers were all yellow and the whole arboretum as FILLED with daffodills! Amazing!
The trees were in bloom and they had lots of lawn space-- I love lawn shots, those are some og my favorites from my own weddign photos at owg-
I do agree with cavvento that there arent TOO many things there-- without the daffodils I dont know what pics we would have gotten...

I put some photos in an album. I know the fee/permit for Bayard Cutting is $50, and then you just have to pay the toll for each car. But its totally worth it.
