Bayside to Jamaica

Does anyone know if it is possible to go from Bayside to Jamaica (LIRR station) via public transportation? If so, how long does it take?

The Great Neck Line (which I believe is the one that servess Bayside) doesn't go to Jamaica. I live in Jamaica but ride the LIRR. I had a doctor's appt. once in Great Neck and had my mom drop me off and then I took the Great Neck line. I kept waiting for it to go through Jamaica because I thought all the lines did. But it doesn't. There's gotta be a way though. Try going on the MTA/LIRR website and put in your start point and destination.

Thanks - I know that LIRR doesn't go, but I was hoping to find a bus from Bayside to Jamaica. I am useless when it comes to bus routes.

I know the Q76 (Francis Lewis) goes up to Hillside Avenue & 179th Street in Jamaica

The Bayside LIRR stop is on the Port Washington line, you'd have to change in Woodside for a train to Jamaica.

I think that taking the LIRR to Woodside and hoping on a train to Jamaica is probably your best bet but here's a great site (part of 1010wins.com) that gives you subway and bus directions:
