Re: Bayside/Queens Girls
Tapas are like appetizers or finger foods, things you can share.
If it's the place I'm thinking of it is new. The food is very meditteranean and there is a entree section of the menu also. I thought the tapas selection would have been larger & more diverse than it was. Overall the food was good but the biggest thing I didn't like about it was that it was DEAD inside on a Saturday night. I went with a friend and they sat us upstairs and we were literally the only ones there. We almost left. Finally another group came.
ETS: I am probably not even talking about the same place ! Wish I could remember the name

I saw the new Thai place but my heart belongs to Erawan.
Tapas are appetizers - served in spanish/ greek bars.

We have been wanting to go but have not had the chance. It does often look empty in there...
My heart is with Erawan too...I can't imagine better Tai food!!!

Re: Bayside/Queens Girls
It is called El Patio.
I have been there a bunch of times and the food is good, but the service SUCKS!!!
It does not matter if it is crowded or empty.
We kept going back hoping it would get better...we finally gave up.
Here are a few examples:
DH and I went with a group of people...3 people ordered the same dish...each one got something different. They claimed it was the same thing.
The prices on the bill are almost always higher than what is listed on the menu.
When ever we go we order a pitcher of Sangria...everytime the pitcher is a different size. Sometimes it is big...sometimes it is a small one.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Bayside/Queens Girls
I went to El Patio once last summer, so I can't comment too much on it. We sat outside, the service seemed okay, and the food was pretty good, but not great.
