bbb registry

I just got something off the registry (and of course I looked online to see what it is, hehe), but FH doesn't want to actually open gifts until we move into our apt in May....just to make things easier.

? is, is there any way to find out who sent the package?....I'm assuming there's a note inside, right?, but any other way of finding out??

if you know what it is anyway, whats the harm in opening it to see who it's from? Also, i think you should send a thank you for it before may... isn't that the etiquette for early gifts?

I'd say open it, but leave it in the package until may

I agree, bc you really should send a gift....otherwise people will be wondering if you even got the gift or not.

I would open it so that you can send out a thank you card. You can repack and save it for your new place.

I'm all over opening up the gifts and leaving them in the package. BUT if you want to keep them wrapped, they usually come with a packing slip with the ordering person on it. Also, the card is usually on the outside of the wrapping paper.

Thank you everyone.....so I did open it, and you're right, the card is on the outside of the package...and, the package is quite a bit smaller than the shipping package, haha, so that'll make it a lot easier with the moving.

now, hopefully fh won't be mad that i opened it without him (he's away on his bach party till friday)....but hey, he's having his fun, and i just had mine
