bbb registry brides!!!

ok so i went to BBB today to return somthing off my registry and they told me that they arent going to be allowing cash back returns much longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just thought i should let everyone know!!

yeah but you still get store credit so i don't think its a problem since i'm always buying stuff from there anyway......

The woman helping me in Westbury told me that I can still get cash back. They don't like to advertise it and will try to force you to take a gift card but if you insist on cash they will do it.

I don't see the problem as long as you get the same value back on a gift card - I mean they have everything there - toothpaste, toiletries - same as having money IMO

This is exactly the case. Store policy is that they DO GIVE CASH BACK!! Do not back down, and they will give it to you. I just returned a pot set for 500 dollars and got cash back.

Just mention you want cash back before they process the return.

Glad to hear this. I was getting worried for a sec. My shower is in November and I know that I will have to be returning some things most likely if they are too heavy to bring back to ecuador. theres no BBB here so I can´t take a gift card!!!

about a month ago i returned bbb bohemia and got back store credit and i was told they dont give cash. the other day i returned to the one in commack and got me cash.

Before they begin transaction you have to tell them you need cash back
according to BBB policy they have to give it to you.
Their cashiers are told to try to process your return as store credit unless you ask.
If they started the return as store credit there is no way to turn it to cash
so again. Make sure you tell them you want cash back before they start the transaction

This is what I was also told. You really need to make a big deal about it though and then they will give you cash back.

They said they don't advertise it anymore b/c they really have no competition (linens n' things and fortunoff's are closed).
