BBB -- registry item chipped.

FH and I recieved a gift off our registry back in March. We didnt open it until this Christmas when we went to use it and it happened to be chipped in multiple places. Now, here's the problem. After my E-Party in March, I went into my registry and deleted everything that guests had bought for us so that the registry didnt seem so cluttered. This item was deleted. Do you think if I bring it back to BBB and tell them it was a guft off our registry and its chipped that they will still take it back? Even if its not showing up on the registry any more because I deleted it? I dont want to completely return it....I want to exchange it for a non-chipped one.

What do you girls think?

I would say take it back. They have a great rep on their returns (which is why FW and I are registering with them)... plus, I'd say that even though it's deleted from your registry, it wouldn't surprise me if they had a history where the item was bought from your registry and then deleted from the visible list.

I work at Customer Service in BBB, they will take it back. You will be able to exchange it or get store credit.

Although you shouldn't delete anything off the registry that was already purchased. We use that as your receipt when returning gifts.

Not only shouldn't you delete stuff off your registry for that reason but people might buy you something they dont see off your registry that you had deleted and think oh they didn't put this so nobody else will buy it for them and they might get it for you.

I had to buy something off of a registry recently, and there was sooo little left...I didn't want to buy anything that was on there so i started to look for other things that were not purchased already or still available...Luckily i told fh to call his friend to see if they had any of these things for the baby, i had thought they just didnt think about putting it on the registry.

How long do I have to exchange or return something off of my registry?

I would take it back-they may allow you to if nothing else exchange it for the same item
