This may sound crazy... at my shower, I got a gift that I was planning on returning. I just looked at the BBB website, and it says that the item is now on clearance. If I exchanged it, I'd get the clearance price back, right? Not the original price? B/c it was like double the price when the person got it for me!

im under the impression that if it's on your registry you will get the price paid for it. If it's not you get current selling price

you get the current selling price not what they paid... i returned a mixer (very $$) that i knew they used a coupon on.. and got full value back! wahooo for me.. stinks for bbb!
