BB&B warning...or anywhere that sells china for that matter

DH and I went to BB&B yesterday to buy some of our placesettings to finish our set. The woman only had 4 in the store so she brought those out and we ordered the rest online. I asked the woman if we should check the sets to see if they were okay and she said it wasn't necessary because they check them when they come in. Well, I decided that when we got home a few hours later that we would check them to be sure. One set had a saucer missing! We had to drive back to BB&B (which is not close to us) and return it and order another set online. I am so glad I decided to check. What would have happened if I didn't check and a few years later when we finally use them we saw the mistake?

CHECK ALL OF YOUR CHINA, LADIES...WHETHER YOU RECEIVE IT AS A GIFT OR BUY IT YOURSELVES!!

That is my public service announcement for the day!

Thanks for the tip. I always insist on checking everything and even though every store at me, it's worth not having to make the trip back. Thanks again!
