BB&B..how long do you have to make exchanges from registry?
My ILs have an awesome new iron (yes, it's possible for an iron to be awesome!) and the one we got is unopened....can we exchange ours do ya think?

Yep. Call BBB and ask them, but I am pretty sure its no prob. Did you get if off the registry? I am like 99% sure you can...but call em.

I believe you registry is active for a year after the date at BB&B, so try. Worse they can do is give you store credit.

Dont even tell them its off the registry! Just tell them you bought it last week and don't have the reciept. Its alot quicker, plus BBB and Fortunoff's don't take things back off the registry I believe its 60 days after the wedding date. You're just best to do it that way with no problems. And its alot quicker too! :)

The registry is also active for about 3 years, sometimes 4. Actually my cousin's been married 5 years and hers is still up. Also, I think it stays up as long as not everything was bought from it . .

Fortunoff is 90 days after wedding, which is nice compared to Crate and Barrel which is 90 days from gift purchase
I'm pretty sure BBB is quite flexible with returns, the salesperson helping me with my registry returns after the shower told me they'd take back 'an electric blanket that someone bought last year which got chewed up by their dog.'

If I remember correctly, BB&B is 3 years from the time of your marriage. I would call them & double check or FM Kris516.

yep and you'll get what they paid off the registry. This past weekend we returned our panini maker from Macys off my registry from 1/06 (my shower) because we haven't used it and didn't think we really would (even though at the time we though we would).

no way!!!!!!!! lol lets hope rocky [my destructive puppy] doesn't hear that! he'll start chewing up my bedding that i have yet to use!!!!

then again, when i took things back from my registries, i just said can i get a credit. i didnt even say it was on my registry, because i didn't want a relative to look and see it was taken back, [or not purchased] when they knot they purchased it. sometimes, i took things back that i didn't care if i had, off the registry, to get something on the registry that iwanted that i didnt get!

I've returned lots of things and they don't remove it from your registry when you return it.
