I made these for my dad on father's day...they came out awesome! They fell right off the bone and everybody loved them! 5 pounds pork spareribs 1/2 cup butter 1 onion, chopped 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar 1 cup water 1 cup ketchup 1 cup hickory smoke flavored BBQ sauce 1 lemon, juiced salt and pepper to taste
1. place ribs in a large skillet, cover with salted water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer over low for 1 hour or until meat is tender, but not quite falling off the bone. Remove from heat and drain. 2. melt butter in a sauce pan and saute the onion and garlic until the onion is tender. Remove from heat. In a blender, combine 1 cup water, vinegar, ketchup, BBQ sauce and lemon juice. Season with sale and pepper and pour in the melted butter mixture. Puree for 1 minute then pour back in saucepan. Bring to a boil then remove form heat. 3. place boiled ribs in a shallow baking dish and pour sauce all over them. Place in refridgerator for at leats 2 hours to marinate. 4. barbecue ribs on an outdoor grill over moderately hot coals, basting with the sauce and turning often until well browned.

Re: BBQ Rib recipe
I boil them until white and soft. Then I marinade them in a combo of BBQ sauce and Saucy Susan (apricot kind of sauce) and grill or broil them. I like them with tons of BBQ sauce!
