I'm completey terrified of having my 'friend: on my wedding night and HM... My Sister in-law told me that she went to her GYN a month or two before the wedding and he gave her BC to kind mess up her cycle so she wouldn't have it.
ANyone doing any pre-cautions so they won't have a visit from their horrible friend

I've done this before, I was gonna have it for our vacation to Bermuda a few years ago, i just took back to back pills, for example...skip the placebos that you take while u have ur period, instead start a new pack of the BC pills, once you finish that month of pills you will get ur period, it should go back to normal after that.
I'm def going to do it if my period is scheduled to come on the wedding/honeymoon.

Never done this, but I'm going to if that happens. I heard it is completely safe.

I do this all the time....well not all the time but I would say at least once or twice a year around special occasions. I am doing it in December so that In February I will be a week off which will ensure that I don't get my period for the wedding or HM! HTH

Re: BC and honeymoon
I was actually at my gyno yesterday, and when she saw my e-ring SHE brought up to me about making sure I didn't have my 'friend' during my wedding or HM.
The best thing to do is start figuring it out now. If you're already on BCPs you still want to give yourself a few months (6 to be safe) to get your timing right. You never want to take fewer than 21 active pills, but you can take extra to extend the time before your next pd. In other words, if you want to push your pd back 1 week, then take 1 extra week of active pills before you take your placebos. HOWEVER, you might get light bleeding during this time (totally normal and you're still completely protected!) - but you don't want to be doing this during your wedding if you can help it. This is why you should figure out your pds now and give yourself 6 months to get it right.
If you're not on BCPs and you want to consider going on to regulate yourself before your honeymoon, then get on them ASAP. Everyone's body reacts differently but it usually takes at least 3 months for your body to adjust to a pill. And you might have to try a few different brands to find one that works best for you.
Wow, this was long, but hope it helps!

Re: BC and honeymoon
I prayed lol and worked out bc i got my period a few days before the wedding which was IDEAL. My period only lasts 3 days and by wedding day it was completely gone. Also the few days after my period is when i am at my thinnest so worked out even better since wedding day was about 2 days after my period.
I am not on BC so couldn't do this but ALOT of girls on here do this and worked for them and it's safe.

Just an FYI - you can't skip your period if you're on any tri- pills (tricyclene, for instance). This is when the hormone levels adjust in each of the 3 weeks of active pills. You need to be on a pill that has the same level of hormones in each of the 3 weeks of active pills.

I've done this before and it works, and is what my gyno recommended if I didn't want my period on vacay.

Uh oh this is me. Has anyone ever heard of a website that allows you to predict if you'll have your period on a certain date. I thought I'd heard of this.
