BC Question- Probably TMI

haha sorry, but I need advise.

I'm on Lo-Ovral (monophasic) bc and need to skip my period next month (going to disney world that week--good job FH )!

I have never done this before and I am wondering which would be better:

skip the last week of pills this month and get my period right before we go on vacation (will be finishing it up the first few days we are there)

or

Skip the last week next month while we are on vacation

I'm really worried about spotting, side effects, etc.

Does anyone have any advise or suggestions? Any input would be appreicated!

Just skip while you are there...you should have no issues...I've done it myself!!

I do this a lot when I either go away, or have something special and need to get dressed up or whatever. Just skip the placebo (white pill) and go straight to your next pack.. You should be fine. I never experiences spotting when I did this.

have you talked to your ob? She can give you the best advice. You might be better off not skipping any weeks and immediately starting your next pack. But just give your doc a call, she can probably answer your q over the phone.

Yes, spoke to the doc. She said the skip the last week and start the new pack. I'm just afraid to do this while I'm on vacation in case I have spotting.

In that case don't be nervous- you probably wont have any spotting
