has anyone ever taken estrostep? i told my doctor i wanted off of loestrin24 fe and that's what she switched me to...

i was on loestrin24 fe and i think estrostep is the generic form of the regular loestrin... it has different horomone levels each week instead of one level all month

It's not the generic, but it is the same hormones as Loestrin, just delivered differently. I have been on Loestrin fe for years except for a brief period when i was put on estrostep. (He only switched me because I was out of work and he was only able to give me free samples of the estrostep) But for some reason, it didn't agree with me. I didn't get my period at all for like 2 months, so I was taking pregnancy tests like crazy, then I finally did get my period and the cramps were worse than when I was off the pill completely. And I was incredibly moody. So after 4 months he put me back on Loestrin. Good Luck

I've been on several bcps, did the Depo thing, Norplant, you name it. None of them ever made me feel good. My IUD was the best $500 I ever spent. I'm on my second one. (They last 10 years.)Nothing to do, nothing to screw up, nothing to worry about and no hormones.

i just got off loestrin 24 too!
doc put me on low ogestrol- been on it 3 weeks so far, i havent noticed any differences in the issues i was having before she told me i need to wait a full 2 cycles before judging the new birth control
i wanted to do the IUD...but its not safe if you havent had children yet
