Has anyone ever had to keep pushing the button to clear the previous temp so that you can use it? I've been having to do this on and off?

I bought one and the instructions said that it reads the last temp taken. then it should clear for the new temp.

Mine saves the last temp so that I can take my temp and roll over and go back to sleep. Then I can get up, hold the button and see what my temp was. Once I turn it off again it clears that last temp.
