Be Thankful (LONG)
I can't believe that 3 hours later I am able to write about this-- it is still unbelievable
DH and I spent the day at a craft fair and then shopping in the outlets--just one of those days where you just have a really good time together
and on the way home I suggest stopping at Blockbuster and we get 2 movies--
Well we are almost home and we are heading for the last major light and I always always always watch the walk sign from way back cause if you come up over the hill and it says walk you usually make the light--so i see it is walk and yes in my head I am like good we are almost home--now mind you we live in the boonies so this last light is also the last shopping area--
So the next thing I know we are crossing the intersection (pretty major road similar to a sunrise highway) and all of a sudden a truck is in the air upside down in front of us and allI see is the underneath of the car as it sails in front of us ans lands on our right side
Yeah holy **** -- and DH slams on brakes and apparently had been more aware than I had been (since I was watching the walk signal)
The truck that flew was in left lane, we were in center and oddly enough someone DH went to HS with was on our right
The truck swerved in front of us to avoid hitting a car that was coming thru the red light and as she swerved in front of us she clipped the car and flipped and landed on our right side---
so we pull into parking lot and run over--
Now this is the most amazing part- Truck is upside down more than 100 feet from where the accident happened ---when we ran over to the car I was dialing 911 and all I kept thinking was My God they are never going to get the person out-- and in the time it took us to pull into the parking lot she was already out----she crawled out the passenger side and is completely fine!!!!!!
Someone was watching over all of us tonight--
Thankfully the driver of the car that ran the light is fine as well
So after reading this please please be extra thankful ---
Dh kept saying to me 'I dont like to think of the what if's' because of course that was all that kept plaing through my head-- the woman even kept saying Am I really here? how did I survive this? and this was even before she really saw what the truck looked like--
Geez--after reading this it sounds like one of those chain emails that go around--maybe this is how they get started---
