Beach Brides

where are you getting married? we're doing the ceremony on the beach that belongs to the ocean club in atlantic beach. the reception will be inside.

we are having out ceremony at the Fire Island Lighthouse (not directly on the beach- but close enough)

We tried everywhere for a beach wedding but no one does it except for the catering halls and those halls were an arm and a leg for the summer.

I just dont get it when we LIVE ON AN ISLAND SURROUNDED BY BEACHES!!!!!

i know it's ridiculous how difficult it is to get married on the beach in LI!!!.

if you are not a member of the Ocean Club, they can find a member to sponsor you. I think there is another girl on this site that is getting married there the weekend before us.

also, they have to take your requst to the board for approval and they charge you a $1000 site fee. but the pp amt is reasonable.

ME!! I am ..... We are getting married in Long Beach on the sand, then our reception is at Bridgeview Yacht Club in Island Park..... Congrats to you ALL!

I want to be one!! Im trying to see if my beach club can do something like that too...my family goes to Silver Point! Do you have to belong to Ocean Club to have it there?

I belonged to silver point and Catalina for many many years. Where was your cabana?

Hey there! We belong to Silver Point beach club too and are getting married at the Ocean Club, but you should look into Sun and Surf, they have a great room to get married in. Also try the Ocean Club, I think at this point even though they say you need a sponsor they aren't going to turn anyone away who wants to give them thousands of dollars to host a wedding!
