Re: Beach brides
Did you have a ceremony on the beach? I can find venues that are waterfront, but I feel there are only a limited number of places that are actually on a beach. I was wondering if anyone has held their ceremony on the beach then had their reception at a waterfront venue. Would that be a ridiculous amount of work? Idk if I would need permits and what not.

Re: Beach brides
Our dream is to get marry on the beach. We are in the middle of planning our ceremony either at a local or private beach with a water front reception. Our RH doesn't have a beach area but has an awesome view of the water....

We wanted the same thing but it wasn't practical for us, we looked into Crescent Beach Club in Bayville we loved the ceremony area but not the RH. We're having our ceremony outside on the water and the whole place has a water view. Old Field Club owns a private beach 2 mins. away so we're taking pictures at the beach before hand...

Re: Beach brides
Lands End is definately one of our options. I also looooove Oceanbleu in Westhampton, but it's so pricey! I have never looked into Old Field Club, but def will. It amazes me that we live on an island and there aren't more beachfront venues!

Re: Beach brides
The thing with Cresecent Beach Club is that if it rains you lose the entire appeal. The outside is what makes the entire venue. If I paid all that money for my wedding there and it rained there is a chance I would just dive headfirst into the water and drown myself. LOL

About having the ceremony on the beach, do you know if you need permits? And have you looked into the cost of renting chairs, runners, etc?

Re: Beach brides
I live in Bayville and walk past the CBC all the time. I’ll be married on the same stretch of beach but not sure where yet. In Bayville, there are 3 Oyster Bay town beaches. You don’t need a permit but you do need to write a letter requesting permission to use the beach. The biggest expense is the parking fees for your guest. $10 for town residents and $50 for non-residents. Chair rentals go from $2-4 /chair.
Then you would need to find a RH close to that area. Bayville is in the boondocks.....

Re: Beach brides
beach ceremonies are hard in long island, and it gets expensive because you hjave to have a rain plan and we ALLLL know how amazing new york weather can be.
your best bet is to find a catering hall that is right on the water, but even that youa re limited to
I know there are places in Long beach that have waterfront venues that have access to the beach

Re: Beach brides
i wanted this, but i found alot of the places that are really pretty ceremonies if outside are really UGLY inside if it rains, and they dont have very good back up plans.
