we were planning on having a ceremony @ robert moses beach based on incorrect info given to us about restrictions: the guy said the only restrictions would be amplification (non-acoustic music & mics) and parking fees. now that we have our permit paperwork, it basically says we are only allowed to have people on the beach, and that's it--no flowers, no arch, no chairs, nothing.
can anyone help with beach ceremony-only locations? i'm a little desperate bc i don't have the heart to make the old ladies stand in the sun for my wedding

What about the Light House by RM Beach. I am having mine there and then taking pics on the actual beach

What about the Town beaches like Gilgo, Overlook, Cedar? They may have less restrictions.

I had the same thing happen to me!! I spoke to someone on the phone and everything was great, great, great. Yes, I knew we were not allowed to have music, but then I got the permit and the same thing. How am I going to ask my guest to stand during the ceremony? I can't! My heart was broken! I really wanted to get married on the beach, but now that is not going to happen! I feel your pain!

The Pavilion at Sunken Meadows has a beach ceremony location but you do have to pay for parking. (You can have music there and there are chairs though.)
