We are planning on taking pictures on Smith's Point beach before the ceremony. Does anyone know if we need to get a permit to do that? Any information about where to get it? Thanks!

I don't think you will need a permit but i didn't see anything about it on their website. here is the number to the suffolk county parks office.
Thanks! That was why I was so confused. I didn't see anything about a permit on the website, but I think I read somewhere that you needed one. I'll try giving them a call.

It's a public beach so I can't imagine why you would need a permit. You would probably just have to pay their parking fee. It looks like you'd only need a permit for overnight camping or access to the outer beach. I am curious to hear what they tell you
