Is it silly (honestly) to have a beach themed wedding at a location that is no where near beach or water? We're getting married at East Wind, and I have seen so many cute ideas for Beach themes. I grew up on the South Shore near the water, dad loves to fish, so it is a part of me...honest feedback here b/c FH isn't crazy about the idea.

i think it's an awesome idea. i do not think it matters where you have your wedding, the theme should be about you. i am having my wedding on a lake and having abeach theme, because it represents our relationship and he proposed on the beach. you grew up on the south shore. i dont think it matters where you have it, i think it would be nice. maybe we could swap beach ideas. i found some nice favors. good luck.

We love to fish...we spend the entire summer on the boat. We HAD to have our wedding at a place on the water. I want to do a nautical theme as well. If that represents your personalities, GO FOR IT!!!

I would go for it! It seems to be something you really want, and you could def pull it off at Eastwind. Since your FH isn't crazy about it I wouldn't go over the top with it, but it can certainly be done. And you never know, he may warm up to the idea once he sees things starting to come together.
