'Beach' Theme Idea

Hi Girls-

Since I am having my reception at a place on the beach, I thought of using real sanddollars as place cards. I just wanted to let you know that I got them from www.cyberislandshops.com and they are perfect! I ordered the 2.5 - 3 inch sanddollars and haven't figured out if I'm going to write the name and table number right on them or if I will glue gun a piece of string to them with the card attached. This is about as creative as I get so I thought I'd share the idea with any other beach brides!

Hi Jen, I'm doing the exact same thing. I also ordered them from the same place. I was thinking of painting them sunset colors and them writing names and table #s on them. I'm just worried about what kind of paint to use. They're so porous it might absorb the paint and then not come out right. I ordered a dozen now and then I'm going to practice with them. Let me know how they turn out.

I had seen these when I was planning and wanted to do them too but due to time and $$ we didn't. We had a beach theme to our wedding so if I can help in any way please let me know.
