Okay - so i formerly posted asking this question, but i decided a POLL would be better!! and i know people love polls. I wanted to have a beachy theme with starfish and shells and stuff...and blue bm dresses, etc. BUT my wedding is at Timber Point Country Club...which is obv. on a golf course and NOT a beach. Can i still do a beach theme??? what do we think???

You don't have to have your wedding at a beach to do a beach theme! Bring the beach to the golf course

there are plenty of girls doing beach themes who are not actually having their reception at a place on the water.
i don't think your guests would think about the fact that you're not at a beach, i think they will only relate it to the fact that it's summer time and beach is a summer theme!!
i love it, i think you should def do it!

I don't know if you were planning to do e-pics or not...but you could even do yours at the beach...and incorporate them into the wedding!

Go for it! You are having a July wedding...there's your reasoning for choosing a summer theme. Golf clubs and beaches are two hot spots during the summer....does FH like golf by any chance? You could incorporate golf somehow for him maybe.

I love beach themes, you can have this theme no matter which RH you are getting married and all year round, you can do whatever you want. Go for it!!!!!!!!!!!

I live like less than a mile from timberpoint, so I've been there many times. Ok, its a golf course BUTTTTTT its right on the great south bay - there is an abundance of water! Its definitely a great venue for a beach wedding. Plus, the decor inside is a creamy color and it will lend itself nicely to the theme. Its not like you can have a golf themed wedding instead!

absolutely. focus on what you want and not on making sure EVERYTHING matches perfectly.
I am choosing not to do a theme and just picking things i like that go. I know that in the past when ive tried to stick to things relating its gotten out of hand and then i begin questioning every decision. it has caused me more stress. so I think if you just stick to what you like and go for it.. you will be fine (but obviously if your wedding is in the winter a beach theme would be silly haha)

hahah thanks sistah!!!! i LITERALLY laughed out loud when i read your post!!! i hope that's what they're talking about ;) i just put that bc one girl said that, and i got kinda nervous bc i dont want 'people talking' about that kinda stuff on my DAY!!!! im gona do it
