Beach Themed Wedding Questions

Beach Themed Wedding Questions

Well, now that FH and I are really engaged We are not wasting any time! We had talked about a beach theme when we decided that we would be having a summer wedding. We are both obsessed with the ocean, and have traveled to a lot of places in the caribbean together.

So, on that note, we were wondering if

#1 - If you have a beach/ocean themed wedding, does it look stupid if your hall is not near water?

and

#2 - Did anyone know of a hall, under $100pp, near the water? Except, it can not be too far out on LI because we are from Brooklyn and Queens.

Before we were actually engaged, we called so many places to get prices, that i forgot where everything was and which ones were nice

Thanks ladies!!! I'm so excited to really plan now!!!!!

Depends when you want to get married! Harbor Club quoted us $92 pp for a sunday afternoon and it is on huntington harbor, it's very pretty.

Keep in mind the night of your wedding. Sat is of course going to be the most expensive. I don't think the Riveira in Massapequa is too expensive and I know that Timber Point in Great Neck (just east of Bay Shore) is very reasonable priced.

Actually I think $92 was for a sunday night at harbor club, if you're willing to stray from the water idea let me know, every place I looked at was under $100 pp, we're poor.

I don't think it will be silly! I love beachy stuff!! Do what you wanna do!

You should check out the Bridgeview Yacht Club. It's in Nassau, on the water, and I bet you can get it for under $100 for a Sunday...... Very pretty

There is a book that I got it has all the RH in it for NYC, LI, & NJ. I'll find out the name of it. But it gives you all the info and it has price ranges in there as well.

Re: Beach Themed Wedding Questions

i got married on bayville beach, we had a totally beach themed wedding, but didnt have our reception on the ocean- actually it was on a lake, at the thatched cottage.

if you have any questions, let me know. everything we did revolved around beach, sand, etc..

i may even have some left over stuff you could use.
