Beachbum tan

Has anyone gone and getting the spray tan? Does it leave you orange? I was thinking about going tonight and wanted to get the spray tan. And how long does it last for?

I called about that and they said you don't see the tan right away it takes a day for it to start showing and you cant shower after it...I didn't do it cuz I felt after one day of not showering I would feel ikcy.

on the website it says not to shower for 8 hours. So i figure I go tonight and then I can shower in the morning.

I did a spray tan once and I felt it made my skin so oily and shiny. Same thing happened to a friend when she did it for prom and she was an oil slick.

Was it just that one day or even couple days after?

brazil bronze is SO much better then the mystic! you can't shower, but it goes on even and lasts much longer and looks natural . It is a little more expensive but so worth it IMO

i get spray tanned (a guy airbrushes me) i go in staten island though

i go at night and then go to bed (the spray has a tint to it that makes me feel like an oompa loompa so i suggest going at night before bed unless the spray they use doesnt have the bronzer in it - the bronzer helps the person spraying you see how much is applied) then in the morning i shower like normal...

i went last night because i have 2 weddings tomorrow and i couldnt stand to be pale! ill post pics from the weddings so you can see how it looks....

i would try doing it where a person sprays you - but make sure they are experienced or it could be a disaster and i would avoid the machines that spray you...

in my epics and eparty pics i have a spray tan if you want to check it out

You don't not shower for a day. You just can't shower for a few hours. Go after work when you're not going anywhere for the rest of the night and then just take a shower in the morning. You can see it in a few hours, so I def wouldn't go anywhere after, you'll def. look orangey (BEFORE YOU SHOWER) and a little dirty too. But when you shower it looks awesome, very real and natural. It goes away in a few days. I do it every so often and I'm always happy with it.

ETA: And yes, I go to Beach Bum, the one in Astoria on Steinway.

my roommate went to estee lauder spa (manhasset) and they have someone that sprays/applies self-tanning cream to your body directly- it was very even and lasted almost 2 weeks

i just went with my friend who got it done. its 1 really quick spray for each side...and then drying...but i dunno if i would reccomend it... even with the blending cream you end up with splotchy areas on your hands and feet and if you sweat it could cause streaking...it can clog your pores and make your pores stand out more especially if you have larger pores.
