I'm having some trouble narrowing down a venue for our summer '14 wedding. We would love something on the water (like Crescent Beach Club), but it seems very expensive for a July or August Saturday night event. I'm looking for a venue that we can have an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour but still has nice indoor alternatives if the weather is bad. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? I'm open to everything. We are estimating around 150 guests. TIA!!

I suggest Lands End. I don't have saturday night pricing but it wasn't in my budget though I loved it. If you are looking for something cheaper on the water, check out Chateau La Mer or Captain Bills

I was going to recommend Chateau La Mer. You can also check into the Venetian Yacht Club and the Riviera, I've never been to either so I'm not sure how they are.

Oh, what about Gurneys? Not sure of their prices, I thought it would be expensive but I heard they are affordable.

venetian is a little on the expensive side, but a great place overall. (been to a wedding there) riviera is really nice too- although i've only been to weddings there in the wintery months. we didnt feel like captain bills was 'wedding-like' enough for us. and it was more $ than we expected !

thatched cottage was reasonable 120-125 can't remember..... that was my other choice on the water and they have both outdoor cocktail hour and a bad weather option that give you big windows overlooking the water.
