Beautiful Churches that aren't catholic...

Can anyone suggest a beautiful church that is not Catholic since we might not be able to get married in St. Kilians due to them not marrying us on Monday or the anullement not going through in time. Or maybe a beautiful Catholic Church that will marry you on Monday?

We decided to not get my DH an annulment because it was just toomuch $ and would take too long. So, we got married at St Johns Episcopal church in Huntington Village. It's a beautiful old church with stone walls outside and beautiful wood work inside. I have a post in the bride's review section with a link to pictures if you want to see some unprofessional pics. The episcopal church is very similar to Catholic church but not as old fashioned and stuffy. Father Byrum married us and he is fantastic! Good luck to you! Kathy

Put a call into the church you suggested. Keeping my fingers crossed because then I can leave the date as is! Thanks again for the help.

There is an episcopal cathedral in garden city that my friend might use. it is really amazing looking and may be more understanding than a catholic church.

There is a beautiful chapel on the CW Post campus. It is not a huge cathedral so it feels really full and the setting is breathtaking. And because they are on a college campus I would imagine they might be flexible. Good luck!

I was going to get married there but I decided that I didn't want to spend the money. After all the 'donations', it was going to be between $1500 and $2000. Although I am Episcopal, I was not a member. They also had other rules like you have to use their flower guild.

We got married at Westbury United Methodist Church off Post Ave (near Northern State). It was a beautiful church on the outside and very simple inside.

There's another really pretty one in Huntington - Old First Church on 25A near Hecksher Park. A friend got married there because her FH didn't want to pay the $ for an annullment.

Keep them coming we are looking into all of them. Looked at the cathedral of incarnation in Garden City today, it's under construction but beautiful--however if true to the price given by another bride out of our range.

I too will suggest Old First Church in Huntington. It's a Presbyterian church, so its has a very simple, but beautiful sanctuary. FM if you'd like contact information (pastors name, phone, approx price, etc). Good Luck!

The Community Church of East Williston is non denominational and are great to work with. I am getting married there this Saturday!!!!!!!!!

It's really beautiul and quaint, but can hold alot of people. Look into them - the wedding coordinator Charlene has been great to work with so far!
