Anyone changing or ramping up their skin care and hair care in advance of the wedding? My stylist/colorist have got me hooked on Kerastase hair products to pamper my hair for the big day...but what about skin care??? Would love to hear what everyone's using...

I went to see a dematologist months ago and go a skin care package.....to take care of some nasty blemishes that were popping up. I've just been using that, but if I can afford it I would love to add a facil in about a month to top it all off!

I am also hooked on keratase shampoo i love it! As for skin care, i was getting facials before the wedding, and using different masks that i bought from my facialists. Also a month before my wedding i made sure to drink nothing but water so i wouldnt get any sudden breakouts and so my skin would look healthier. I also went to the beach numerous times to get a little tan, i know its bad for you, but it was only for the wedding

I have really sensitive skin, so I didn't want to go wild with new products lest I get a flare up. I intended going for at least 3 facials but ended up getting only one--schedule was too busy and truth be told, when I've had them in the past, there was no change in my skin.
Other changes: drank more water, started using a retinol/salicylic acid product (this made more difference than the facials), moisturized more, did some home dermabrasion, conditioned my hair more, made sure to exercise.

Try getting Pro Active. The stuff is incredible, and my friends who are married used it before their weddings, and really noticed a difference.

I use Kiehls products....they are my fav...and my lotion is from Cosmedix...love it

Anyone ever use Caudalie Night Infusion Cream? AMAZING...I look like I have new skin every morning when I wake up!
How about Cosmedicine's MediMatte?
I don't really struggle with my skin, thankfully. That's after YEARS of cystic acne. Now it just changes slightly with the seasons.
The suggestions for facials sound like a great way to relax and pamper at the same time!

Facials are amazing...I get mine in Stony Brook at Sanctuary Day Spa...I would try it 2 months prior to make sure your don't have a reaction, and then follow up 3 weeks prior...sometimes facials can make you break out, so you want time to calm your skin down!

NOT trying anything new on my skin. I'm very afraid because I don't want to get any reactions before the wedding. As for hair....I use Nexus shampoo. I'm trying to wash it less and dry it less to replenish it. I'm also not coloring it again until a week before the wedding! And yes, even though it is bad, I will try to get some sun before my big day!
