Hey Brides!!! OK, I'm just writing to warn you all about nail salons and their carelessness. I recently got my nails done at a nail salon here in Suffolk County and have been in the hospital for the past 3 days for a very bad infection in my finger. Apparently, the nail salon isn't as clean as they claim!! Besides being very very painful, it's gross b/c my finger is swollen, hot and pussing!! How gross!!! I'm supposed to be going on vacation with my FH and hope that this infection clears up soon!!! This is probably the most painful thing I've ever had to endure. Please please please, make sure you know the nail salon and they have a great reputation!! (I made the mistake of going to a nail salon I knew little about b/c my regular nail lady was booked. Sorry for the long post, but I'd hate to see any of you girls going through this!! Enjoy your weekend!!!

I think it's Port Jefferson Station....not sure though.... it's on Route 112.

I live in that area... I'll make sure I avoid all salons around there... I hope you feel better, what a horrible thing to have to go through!

That is horrible!!!!!! I never heard of something this severe happening from getting your nails done. I can't believe it! I'll have to pay close attention to how clean the tools they use in nail salons. It's pretty scary. I hope you feel better!!!

WOW, I am so sorry you are going through this...I have my own manicure set that I use everytime I get my nails done at a salon...This way I know they are sterelized & what not
