Does anyone know how someone can become ordained?? And how long it takes? We would really like a friend to marry us, but we are not sure if he'll have time to do this!! Thanks!

It says immediately--print out the certificate that says you are ordained! As far as I know, it is legit. There are plenty of quotes from people who used it (I just hung up the certificate on my door in college because I thought it was funny that I was then a Reverend! )

I was reading in one of the million Bridal magazines just this week that the Universal Life Church is recognized in ALL states EXCEPT NY. Double check just to make sure.

ULC is recognized in NY, just not NYC. So as long as you're not getting married within the boroughs, you're good to go.
