I registered at Macy's and Crate and Barrel but did not like any bedding they had. So, I registered 2 weeks ago at BBB for bedding, towels and other things. My FMIL went to buy me the bedding yesterday and it is discontinued already. In fact....about 60% of the stuff is discontinued. WTF!!!

BBB does not notify you. I only know b/c FMIL called and told me and then I noticed most stuff was discontinued. Yuck...I thought I was done registering.

Which BBB was it..I am registered at BBB and they sent me via snail mail a letter 2 weeks before the store was going to discontinue the item..
We went ot register at the BBB in Albany (since thats where we are until June)

I'm registered at BBB and they have ALWAYS notified me when something would be discontinued.
Maybe your address was entered wrong???

You are SOOO right! I registered at Macy's because most of my family & friends live on Staten Island, and the closest Fortunoff is in Woodbridge, NJ.
EVERYTHING I really wanted has been discontinued...forget trying to pick everyday dishes...anything nice discontinues almost immediately. I also registered at Linens & Things.

LOL!! That's what happened with all my linens & towels at Fortunoff!! So annoying!!

I haven't had that problem with BBB. They always notify us when anything is discontinued.

I am registered at BBB and they notified me everytime something was going to be discontinued with a letter in the mail with a whole copy of our registry and everything that was going to be discontinued was hi-lited.

omg---so funny--i was just there today @ the new one in Plainview and my mom was like why don't you register here? but we have had bad experiences everytime we go to get a gift there---this answers my questions!! LOL I saw our NAUTICA comforter set there though, that we registered @ FORTUNOFF's for. i saw a lot of the same stuff that FORTUNOFF carries---that FORTUNOFF makes it seem that it's exclusive to them. lol
