Bed Bath and Beyond VS. Target

I started to register at Bed Bath and Beyond the other day...I was pretty happy with everything I registered for until I went to Target and I thought everything was so much cuter...Is it cuter becuase it is not as good quality?? I think I would rather register at Target...I just don't want to register for stuff thats is cheap...and I am going to end up needing new stuff...Please HElP!

I've heard people have problems with returning things off their registry at Target.
BBB is so much better, cash back or store credit

even though i LOVE target i didnt register there. I feel like they are always out of merchandise. I registered at BBB. They are amazing!!! You really dont even need to register anywhere else, they have everything!

Ever since the congressman in MD who was returning stolen merchandise to Target (how classy), they have really cracked down on returning. They keep track and only allow you to return a certain number of items per year.

I registered at BBB and had not one problem with them. Even items that needed to be special ordered came in a timely manner.

I did not register at Target and this is why -- my sister did and nothing but problems.

Items would scan wrong, items wouldn't come off the registry so she got a ton of duplicates and when she went to take them back they wanted a receipt. When she showed them that two came off the registry they didn't care. A lot of their items are seasonal so things go out of stock quickly and are not replenished.

I wouldn't worry about quality as much as 'will it still be here' or what if I get dups.

Oh they even wanted to charge me for the registry cards that you put in the shower invitation for her.

She lives out of state and had the same problems up here as well as down there. After her NY shower we went to more then one location to try and return things and it was a nightmare.

Sorry for intruding - but my 2 daughters got married in 07 and 08 and had many problems returning things to Target - one of them ended up with a credit over $400+ and actually had to do the returns in several trips because they only take a certain amount of returns at one time. And if there is no gift receipt - then they make it even harder.

I heard the same thing about Target, which I was surprised about bc I LOVE Target. My FH's cousin registered at Target (they got married in 1/09) and they now have 3 Toasters

I used to hear the best things about Target registry. But I had a friend who just got married who was in tears because of them. Another friend also used Target. Both said if they had to do it over, they wouldn't have.

Everything I buy from target ( appliances ) is usually cute... but not study and does not last long. I would def do ( which I have ) BBB over target...

and I think someone else mentioned it but the registry's do not seem to stay organized.. duplicate items are often purchased...

We started at fortunoff then went to BBB...we got to BBB and they have EVERYTHING..beautiful crystal and china as well. They had everything fortunoff had and your guests can use 20 percent off coupons on ANYTHING even china. So I thought why the hell would I have fortunoff if BBB has everything I want and people can use coupons...

Also, small hint- if there is something at Fortunoff that BBB doesn't have but sells designer...they will order it for you..so much better that people can save 20 percent - i think people will be more willing to buy you some of your pricey goods

Also BBB is the only place where you get CASH BACK on all returns

The thing is im registered at both places. BBB doesnt have what you registered for in all there stores. Ive recieved stuff on both registries and havent had a problem. Although target the cutest stuff alot of times is buy online only and i dont like that. but hey.
