I want to return some gifts to Bed Bath. On their website it said only merchandise credit back. I know a while back someone had mentioned you can get cash back. Has anyone done this?

If they paid in cash and you have the receipt, they should give you cash.

BBB does not advertise that they give back cash from your registry. When you go to return items tell them it is from your registry and request cash. If you don't request cash you will get a store credit.

I asked one of the customer service reps. if I would get cash back if an item from my register was returned and they said its up to the manager depending on the amount of the return. You have to ask for cash back otherwise its store credit.
Which BB store did you go to make the return?

I went to the one in Manhasset. It was really easy, no questions asked. I was also only returning about $100 worth of stuff.

mine was a pita but i had a gift receipt from over a year ago for one item, and they told me i didnt have a receipt... i was like ***. then the other item they were gonna give me cash bc it was just purchased from registry the girl was new and not too bright i ended up just taking store credit- we still have a ton we want/ need

I was going to take credit if they were going to give me a hard time about it. There's always something to upgrade in the house
