BEDDING HELP!!!

What are the differences in pillows? Which ones are worser quality & why?

What's the differences of comforters...the feathers ? The thread count? the durability?

Show me a picture of your bedding & thanks for the input.

I have no idea what this whole 'thread' thing is about....

The only thing I can tell you is that the higher the thread count, the better the bedding. It makes it very soft.

Don't know about pillows or feathers. Sorry.

I can't do anything with feathers because it makes my asthma bad.

This is my bedding from BB&B.

ETA: We got Laura Ashley pillows from there too and we really like them. Again, they must be some kind of foam, medium-density.

The higher the thread count the nicer the sheets feel! I cant sleep on anything less then 400 TC
I hate feathers... I feel like they come through the pillows/comforters and stab you lol

thread count: I think it literally refers to the density of threads per inch. Common wisdom says the higher the thread count, the softer the sheet.

Also take into account the fabric. For example, we have these really amazing linen sheets from Ireland. Linen by nature is a low thread count. These sheets will last a long time, but are low thread count yet high quality.

100% cotton is the best. Be careful b/c many manufacturers will advertise 'Egyptian cotton' but then %age is low.

I have Heirloom sheets from Fortuoff (it's their brand) 400tc. I love them.

For pillows I am allergic to feathers so I go with the allergy type of pillow which I think has a polyester fill.

The tread count is how many threads per square inch of fabric. The higher the better.
Egyptian would be the highest quality.
Most people are allergic to feathers but not the down. Down is the underside of the duck, it's belly. It's very soft & it does'nt stick out & poke you. As far as comfortors there is more involved. I used to work retail, I had to learn every product we sold. If you go to BBB's website, they have buying guides on all the bedding. They should help you out.
