I have a bed like that and I have a dust ruffle. It would work because most of them have slits cut for the corners of the bed. Do you NEED it... NO bc I think that bed would look nice w/o one.

Re: Bedding Question
i think that a dust ruffle defeats the purpose of the wood frame so i would say no

Re: Bedding Question
i had a very similar bed and had a dust ruffle, but the dust ruffle went over the box spring (i got an extra length one) and I tucked it behind the wood so you still see the wood and the dust ruffle at the bottom. You definitely don't need one; it looks nice with or without

Re: Bedding Question
Dust ruffle? You mean bed skirt? Either way you CAN do it like the poster before said just tuck it in that the bottom, bur really truly its not necessary unless your covers don't reach the floor and you're hiding stuff under the bed.

Re: Bedding Question
Well I have a bed similar to that and at first i didnt buy a bed skirt, but the bottom mattres the frame one, was much higher that the wood frame of the bed covered. So when my bed was made u would see half the ugly mattress, so I had to get one for that reason alone it dressed the bedding up.
IF you look at the frame of the pic u posted most bottom mattresses are taller than that allows. HTH

Re: Bedding Question
I think I'm going to get a few of those drawers on casters that can go under the bed for neat storage, or maybe something like this
I thing w/o would give it a sleeker look. I guess you could use one, I wouldnt.

Re: Bedding Question
My bed is very similar and we tried it out and you CAN have a ruffle! It won't show if you go with a bed with a footboard obviously (Mine doesn't have one....it is the same around as the sides..if that makes sense), but around the other edges it will. The guy there said that a lot of people do that and it still looks good.
